Shinsunggo announced on the 24th that it had been selected as a ‘Little Penguin’ fostering company by the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund.
Little Penguin is Shinbo’s representative startup incubation program that discovers early-stage startups with innovation and growth potential and provides customized financial support at each stage. Shinseongo will receive a total of 1.5 billion won in guarantee support over the next three years.
Shinsunggo, an in-house venture from LG Electronics, has been attracting attention by presenting a new alternative to the urban cold chain logistics market based on the 'Foldable Vacuum Insulation System' (FVI) and 'Smart Refrigeration Control Technology' that provide energy savings of over 50% compared to refrigerated trucks.
Shinsunggo is introducing a new concept refrigeration solution that combines vacuum insulation (VIP) for temperature-controlled logistics, IoT (Internet of Things) control, and modular folding structure technology. In particular, it received high praise for simultaneously securing energy efficiency and space utilization compared to existing fixed refrigeration systems.
Shinsunggo recently successfully completed testing of a mobile refrigerated unit for food and pharmaceutical delivery in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, and plans to expand into the B2B logistics market in the future through a vehicle-mounted T. trunk.
Lee Seong-hun, CEO of Shinsunggo, said, “FVI, a foldable, high-efficiency vacuum insulation material, and the T. box and vehicle T. trunk with temperature control will become the new standard for cold chain refrigerated logistics,” adding, “With this selection as Little Penguin, we will simultaneously lay the foundation for technological advancement and global expansion.”
