The 'Jump-Up Program' is a policy that will be implemented for the first time this year to revitalize and inject dynamism into our economy. It is a project that selects 100 promising small and medium-sized companies through strict and intense evaluation and verification by experts in each field and comprehensively and systematically supports their entry into new businesses and new markets for three years.

This inauguration ceremony was held to announce the first start and to pledge new challenges and growth by bringing together 100 companies and 14 organizations that will support their entry into new businesses and new markets for the next three years.

The event began with an opening video that included the background of the introduction of the 'Jump-Up Program', the process of selecting companies, future support plans, and future vision, followed by a plaque presentation ceremony where Minister Oh Young-joo personally presented plaques symbolizing the selected companies to the five representative companies.

Following this, eight policy organizations including the Korea Development Institute, the host organization of the 'Jump-Up Program', the Korea Institute of Finance, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Shinbo, Industrial Bank of Korea, Korea Export-Import Bank of Korea, and Korea Trade Insurance Corporation, and six private operating organizations including the Korea Economic Association, Boston Consulting Group, Samjung KPMG, EY Han Young, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, and Korea Institute for Advanced Study signed a business agreement (MOU) to cooperate with each other for the successful leap forward of the 100 promising companies selected this time.

Lastly, the brand identity (BI) expressing the purpose and vision of the 'Jump-Up Program' was revealed. The BI concisely and visually represents the image of a company growing dynamically based on bold challenges and innovation.

In addition, as a side event, a place was provided for in-depth discussion on the direction of entry into new businesses and new markets and necessary support policies, such as mutual matching and consultation between selected companies and each private operating organization, and guidance on support projects from policy organizations.

Minister Oh Young-joo said, “The recent tariff imposition measures have increased the burden on small and medium-sized enterprises trying to enter the global market. The Jump Up program, which focuses on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises’ entry into new businesses, new markets, and scale-up during these difficult times, will be a great help.” He emphasized, “In order for the Jump Up program, which is just taking its first steps, to become a solid support for building the ladder of corporate growth, the leading role of all companies and organizations present today is necessary, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups will also provide support through various policy means and make continuous efforts.”
