The Early-stage Investment Accelerator Association (Chairman Jeon Hwa-seong, hereinafter referred to as the Association) announced that it successfully completed the '2025 Investment Review Skill Up Training Course' at the Seoul Startup Hub Scale-up Center from April 16 to 17. This training was planned for current and prospective investment reviewers with the goal of strengthening investment practice capabilities centered on real-world situations.
This course was evaluated as being of great help in improving practical sense as it consists of an insight-centered curriculum that can be immediately applied in an actual investment environment.
Since startup investment work is based on the uncertainty and high risk of early-stage companies, case-based field experience and practical understanding are more important than simple theories. From investment decisions to due diligence, contract signing, and follow-up management, the experience and know-how of individual reviewers are key assets throughout the entire process, so the industry demand for practical education is also continuously increasing.
This training was attended by current experts in each field as instructors, including Mashup Ventures Senior Reviewer Jaewon Jeong, SM Culture Partners Chief Reviewer Junhyo Jang, DLG Law Firm Managing Attorney Heechul Ahn, IP Link Partners Managing Patent Attorney Yehyeok Jeong, Gravity Ventures Investment Team Leader Sewoong Park, and Next Stage Ventures Co-CEO Jinho Bae, adding expertise and practicality.
The curriculum covers all aspects of investment review practice, including ▲investment market analysis ▲investment process and investment report writing ▲M&A contract conclusion and due diligence ▲valuation and exit strategy ▲follow-up investment management, centered on case studies, and focuses on content closely related to the field.
A student who participated in the training said, “Thanks to the structure centered on real-life cases, it was a great help in understanding the work. The instructors’ passionate lectures were also impressive,” and “I had many concerns in the high-intensity work environment due to the nature of my job as an examiner, but since all the speakers are currently working, it was a more relatable and beneficial time.”
The association plans to continue to operate practical training courses to strengthen the practical capabilities of investment reviewers in the future. We plan to actively support the professionalism and practical sense of reviewers through a curriculum that can be applied directly in the field, not just theory.
