Nota Signs Agreement with Dubai Transport Authority to Supply Generative AI Solutions

Nota, an AI optimization technology company, announced on the 23rd that it signed a contract with the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), to supply an intelligent transportation system (ITS) solution based on generative artificial intelligence (AI). Through this contract, Nota has become the first domestic company to successfully commercialize an on-device generative AI solution in the Middle East.

The ITS system supplied by Nota is one of the 'Nota Vision Agent', a video surveillance solution based on the Vision-Language Model (VLM) developed by Nota, and operates flexibly on NVIDIA's center and edge devices. The solution is characterized by analyzing traffic video data in real time to quickly detect accidents or unexpected situations and enable rapid responses. It is known that the fast data processing speed with reduced cloud dependency, efficient operating costs, and high security were the main factors in concluding this contract.

Nota has proven its technological prowess in the Middle East market even before this contract. It has attracted attention from local stakeholders by participating in major global events such as 'Expand North Star' and 'ITS World Congress' held in 2024, and in November last year, it successfully completed a pilot project (PoC) of an ITS solution in the region with Dubai Transport Authority in cooperation with UAE transport infrastructure company ATS.

With this contract, Nota plans to unveil the project results at the largest technology exhibition in the Middle East, 'GITEX 2025' in October. In addition, it plans to begin full-scale smart city construction projects throughout the Middle East, starting with Dubai.

CEO Chae Myeong-su said, “This contract is an example of Nota’s generative AI technology being recognized for its competitiveness in the global market,” and added, “We will expand AI-based innovation across industries, including smart cities, manufacturing, and logistics, not only in the Middle East but also in various regions.”
