Vision AI specialist company Sees AI (formerly See You Box) announced that its robotics subsidiary Yuon Robotics will participate in KOREA MAT 2025 (International Logistics Industry Fair) held at KINTEX in Ilsan from the 22nd to the 25th to showcase order picking systems, sorting machines, and AMR products for transporting products.
Yuon Robotics' order picking system is an automated picking and empty packing system, and is specialized for the process of handling irregular objects. Unlike manufactured goods that are produced and packaged in a certain form, applying an automated system to a logistics process that handles products that do not have a certain form requires a high level of technology that can measure and control the variables that occur in each task.
Currently, Yuon Robotics is expanding the scope of application of this product from existing logistics warehouses and conducting technology verification (PoC) for commercialization of AI robot automatic packaging system with Seongju Wolhang Agricultural Cooperative Distribution Center (APC). Targeting melons, a specialty product of Seongju, Gyeongbuk, the company completed construction of an automation system for the subsequent packaging process of multiple melons wrapped in plastic and recently began pilot operation.
Park Young-ryong, CEO of Yuon Robotics, said, “In the current market situation where demand for automation of distribution logistics processes that are difficult to standardize is increasing, we would like to demonstrate the possibility of applying and commercializing our AI-based non-standard object recognition technology through KOREA MAT.” He explained, “In particular, the main purpose of this participation is to strengthen technical communication with field experts in various industries based on the PoC performance currently underway at the melon logistics site, identify the actual demand for automated processing of non-standard objects, and establish a direction for advancement.”
He added, “We will establish a strategic base to commercialize our products early by creating contacts with influential buyers and partners in industries with high potential for product introduction and expand our business into the multi-variety, small-quantity logistics sector in the future.”
Yuon Robotics was recently selected as a target company for the '2025 SMART AGRITECH Agricultural and Food Technology Startup Accelerator Fostering Support Project' hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and carried out by the Korea Institute for Agricultural Science and Technology Promotion. This project discovers startups with ultra-gap technologies that have the potential to become unicorns and provides timely consulting necessary for growth, such as technology commercialization and globalization related to the agricultural and food industry, from the early stages. The selected companies will be provided with benefits such as ▲direct investment in excellent companies (linked to TIPS) ▲technology commercialization R&BD support such as government subsidies ▲IR capacity building training and investment attraction consulting ▲networking and IR-Day, Demo Day support.
The company foresees that AI robot systems that recognize and process non-standard objects can be applied to various industries that must handle logistics with many variables such as shape, size, and weight. Yuon Robotics plans to secure a competitive edge in the non-standard logistics automation market and expand business opportunities and sales by merging its parent company, Sisun AI’s AI-based image recognition technology, with its own robot control technology.
Meanwhile, KOREA MAT is the largest logistics exhibition in Korea, hosted by the Korea Integrated Logistics Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. It is an event that introduces and shares the latest technologies and solutions across the logistics industry, including logistics transportation, logistics IT, automation systems, cold chains, storage, and logistics facilities.
