Startup Promotion Agency, Achieves Best Award in ‘2024 Public Institution Joint Growth Evaluation’

The Korea Institute for Startups & Entrepreneurship Development (President Yoo Jong-pil) announced that it was selected as the highest grade, ‘Excellent,’ in the ‘2024 Public Institution Joint Growth Evaluation’ conducted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups .

The Public Institution Shared Growth Evaluation annually evaluates the shared growth activities of public institutions and announces five grades (Best, Excellent, Good, Average, and Improved) to spread the culture of mutual growth throughout the corporate ecosystem through leading shared growth roles.

As a result of implementing various policies to spread the culture of mutual growth, such as establishing a mutual growth cooperation fund, supporting the development of public sales channels for local SMEs and startups, and making non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) mandatory for open innovation projects, the Startup & Entrepreneurship Promotion Agency achieved the ‘highest’ grade for the first time since the evaluation was conducted.

Yoo Jong-pil, the head of the Startup Promotion Agency, said, “This is the result of the government recognizing our various efforts to achieve mutual growth with startups,” and added, “We will continue to prioritize mutual growth with startups and set an example and play a leading role in the field of win-win cooperation.”

Meanwhile, the only institution among the 134 public institutions that participated in the evaluation that rose two levels to achieve the 'highest' grade was the Korea Institute for Startups and Entrepreneurship Development.
