AI education solution company Ellis Group (CEO Jae-won Kim) received the Presidential Award for Distinguished Service to Information and Communication Technology at the '2025 Science and Information and Communication Day Commemoration Ceremony' held on the 21st.
The '2025 Information and Communication Service Government Award' was established to select individuals and organizations that have contributed to the development of the information, broadcasting, and communication sectors and to encourage their hard work and praise their achievements. Ellis Group was awarded the Presidential Citation in the Information and Communication sector in recognition of its contribution to accelerating the introduction of AI in domestic industrial sites by developing AI infrastructure and SaaS solutions.
Ellis Group has been recognized as a leading company leading the AI transition, winning the Presidential Award at the 'Republic of Korea SW Awards' for the best SW in 2024 with 'Ellis LXP', an AI cloud developed with its own technology, and optimal AI education, and also winning the Presidential Citation for Service to Information and Communication this year.
Ellis Group provides high-performance GPU∙NPU services with the modular data center Ellis AI PMDC and the AI-specialized cloud 'Ellis Cloud' based on it to support the AI transition of enterprises and the public sector. Currently, many enterprises including startups and university AI research labs are using Ellis Cloud to develop AI models and SaaS solutions. In February, it obtained the Cloud Security Certification (CSAP) IaaS and is also accelerating its entry into the public cloud sector.
It was also highly recognized for its contribution to fostering domestic and international AI/SW talent through customized AI education. The educational practice platform 'Ellis LXP' provides a personalized practice environment based on the cloud to enhance educational effectiveness. Currently, more than 6,300 institutions including major corporations, universities, and elementary, middle, and high schools are using it for AI/SW education, and the number of graduates has exceeded 2.6 million.
Ellis Group has also successfully developed an education-specific AI model using its own technology and education data, providing differentiated AI education. It has excellent performance in Korean, showing very high utilization in domestic AI education fields including AI textbooks. In particular, the multimodal VQA model developed by Ellis Group has achieved the world's best performance in Korean and Vietnamese language benchmarks.
