VIRNECT, an industrial XR and AI solution company, is entering the 'Physical AI' market in earnest based on the performance of its AI goggles VisionX.
Following the success of the VisionX industrial AI goggles that won the Innovation Award at CES 2025, Virnect has focused on the field of Physical AI that enables the real-world expansion of AI technology and has expanded into industrial robot intelligence. Since its establishment, Virnect has been developing XR and digital twin solutions based on vision AI technology, and this technology has been optimized for understanding and utilizing visual data from industrial sites, accumulating results in various industrial environments.
Afterwards, by integrating conversational AI and AI agent technologies, we developed the VisionX industrial AI goggles that process workers' voice and visual information in real time, and the product officially proved its technological prowess by winning the Innovation Award for the first time among industrial AI goggles at CES 2025.
VisionX is scheduled for mass production in the third quarter of this year. Based on this technology, Burnect plans to enter the industrial robot field in earnest and expand related businesses centered on ‘Physical AI’.
Physical AI is a technology that applies existing intelligent software technologies to physical devices such as robots to enable them to operate autonomously in the real world, and is emerging as a key trend in the global manufacturing and logistics industries.
Burnect has carried out more than 15 robot-related projects based on XR and digital twins over the past five years, and based on this, has started developing AI software for robots in earnest.
Burnect aims to organically combine environmental recognition through vision AI, conversational AI-based interface, and autonomous judgment through agent-type AI to realize practical autonomy and collaborative capabilities for industrial robots.
A Burnect official said, “We are a company that connects AI technology to reality. Now is the time to expand it from human eyes to the eyes and brains of robots.” He added, “Based on the XR, digital twin, and AI technologies we have accumulated so far, we will create new standards in the robotics field as well.”
