Kyungkonjin, recruiting companies to participate in 'Cultural Technology Content Distribution Support'

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Content Promotion Agency (hereafter referred to as Gyeongconjin) announced on the 21st that they will be promoting the '2025 Cultural Technology Content Distribution Support' project to support content distribution by cultural technology companies in the province and promote their entry into domestic and international markets. The purpose of this project is to help commercialize completed content through content distribution funding and implementation support.

Kyungkonjin will accept applications from companies that wish to participate in the project until May 21, and will select a total of five companies to provide distribution funds of 30 million won to each company, for a total of 150 million won. In addition, customized support will be provided step by step from the establishment of distribution strategies to the implementation stage.

The selected companies will conduct full-scale distribution activities for approximately 4 months from July to October. Depending on the distribution plan of each company, distribution consulting, follow-up partner matching, and opportunities to display and promote the results in conjunction with the Gyeonggi Content Festival, Gyeonggi Province's representative content event, will also be provided.

Companies wishing to participate in the project must check the project announcement posted on the official website of Gyeonggi Convergence Promotion Agency (www.gcon.or.kr) and submit the pre-diagnosis certificate and application documents by 6:00 PM on May 21. For inquiries regarding the project, contact the Content Industry Team (032-623-8068, sagehj@gcon.or.kr).

Last year, Kyungconjin also discovered various distribution cases of cultural technology content through the project. Major cases include ▲ Global promotion of Creative Island's dome screen VR content 'Space Cat Kits' ▲ Lotte Department Store pop-up store operation linked with Shopfanpic's IP-based content ▲ Hanoi Lotte World Aquarium educational event using Ihan Creative's AR app 'Dewing' ▲ Onz's gesture-based interactive exhibition content development ▲ Paranoi's XR theater-based immersive play <Simulation>, etc.

A Kyeongconjin official said, “This project is intended to provide a practical market entry opportunity to local companies that possess excellent technology and content but have not been able to find distribution opportunities,” adding, “We will actively support cultural technology-based content to secure a wider range of distribution channels.”
