Altair and Databricks Form Strategic Partnership

Altair , a global leader in intelligent computing, announced a strategic partnership with Databricks. The collaboration aims to help companies more easily integrate and analyze their data and effectively apply AI to real-world operations.

The two companies will link Altair RapidMiner, Altair’s data analysis and AI platform, with Databricks’ Data Intelligence Platform, allowing customers to directly access and analyze data within Databricks without replication. This will allow companies to quickly develop and operate AI models and make data-based decisions more efficiently.

In particular, the Altair RapidMiner platform provides a wide range of solutions, from solutions that support SAS language execution to solutions that can apply the latest AI technologies while maintaining existing analysis environments. Through this collaboration with Databricks, customers can more flexibly modernize existing analysis assets and simultaneously strengthen operational efficiency and analysis capabilities.

In addition, Altair has knowledge graph technology for large-scale data processing, and when linked with Databricks, it can connect and analyze not only structured data but also unstructured data and real-time streaming data. This combination of technologies is a key foundation for implementing cutting-edge AI systems such as generative AI and autonomous agents.

“Altair has a proven track record of innovation in data preprocessing and machine learning, and this collaboration will help customers more easily explore and act on large-scale data,” said Ariel Amster, Databricks’ director of strategic technology partnerships.

“Through this collaboration, we will help enterprises move beyond simply storing their data to AI-based systems that can actually be used for business,” said Sam Mahalingham, Altair’s chief technology officer. “We will create an intelligent environment that can connect disparate data and make and execute decisions on its own.”
