Shopee Korea and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency recruit sellers for global expansion

Shopee Korea (CEO Kwon Yoon-ah), the largest e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, announced on the 18th that it will be recruiting sellers to participate in the 'Global Shopping Mall Utilization Sales Support Project' with the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) until the 25th, leading the expansion of overseas sales channels for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The 'Global Shopping Mall Utilization Sales Support Project' is part of the '2025 E-Commerce Export Market Entry Project' implemented by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to support online overseas expansion of SMEs and venture companies. The recruitment areas are divided into ▲Store Entry Support (Direct Sales Support) ▲Marketing Support, and sellers who wish to participate in the project can choose one of them and apply.

Shopee Korea supports various marketing activities for small and medium-sized businesses sellers who participated in ▲ store opening support and ▲ marketing support projects through the 'Global Shopping Mall Utilization Sales Support Project' to enter and settle in the local market. If you have not yet entered Shopee or have entered but have not achieved annual sales performance last year, you can apply for ▲ store opening support, and if you have entered Shopee and have achieved annual sales performance last year, you can apply for ▲ marketing support.

Shopee Korea plans to lead the sales activation of sellers by providing customized support according to the Shopee entry stage. First, ▲through store entry support, we will start with the creation of various promotional content such as marketing education and consulting, as well as localized product pages, starting from the Shopee entry of 200 companies. Furthermore, we will support sales through basic online marketing and monthly promotional planning events such as 'Mega Day'.

The 500 companies participating in marketing support will also receive benefits such as monthly exclusive planning support, discount coupon support, and main banner posting. In addition to content creation that matches overseas consumer culture and trends, we also support ‘Shopee Live’ sales using local influencers, etc., so it is a good place for sellers who want to increase local awareness and expand sales. Among the participating sellers, we plan to additionally support excellent companies with large-scale monthly promotional planning events such as Shopee’s ‘10.10 Mega Day’ and ‘12.12 Mega Day.’

Applications for the 'Global Shopping Mall Utilization Sales Support Project' hosted by Shopee Korea and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency are open until 6:00 PM on the 25th, and can be submitted through the Shopee Korea business application link and the Gobiz Korea website.

Shopee Korea has been helping many small and medium-sized enterprises advance into Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Central and South America through this project and other government-supported projects that were first launched in 2019.

Business performance is also visible. Last year, Shopee Korea achieved the largest ever transaction volume through government-supported projects, recording a double-digit growth rate compared to the previous year. In particular, the beauty category showed a transaction volume growth of more than 50%. The number of orders for sellers who participated in government-supported projects increased by 36% compared to before participation, showing a growth rate of more than twice that of sellers who did not participate in the project.
