Seoul National University Technology Holdings and Geumyong Machinery Sign Business Agreement

Seoul National University Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Seoul National University Technology Holdings) and Geumyong Machinery Co., Ltd. announced on the 16th that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation to discover, invest in, and support commercialization of promising startups.

This agreement aims to jointly create an ecosystem that supports the growth of startups based on the technological prowess and industrial networks of both organizations, and plans to pursue practical cooperation in various areas such as attracting investment, linking commercialization, and increasing corporate value.

Seoul National University Technology Holdings was established in 2008 to support startups and investments utilizing Seoul National University’s excellent technology, human resources, and intellectual property (IP). It currently manages assets exceeding 120 billion won and fosters technology-based startups through 14 funds. Through this agreement, Seoul National University Technology Holdings plans to expand the scope of its support to startups in the manufacturing and machinery industries.

Mok Seung-hwan, CEO of Seoul National University Technology Holdings, said, “Geumyong Machinery’s precision manufacturing capabilities and field-oriented execution capabilities are impressive,” and added, “We will create a practical cooperation model by combining the strengths of both companies so that the technologies of promising startups discovered by Seoul National University Technology Holdings can be implemented in industrial sites.”

Geumyong Machinery is a specialized company in the fields of precision industrial equipment and smart manufacturing systems, and has experience in collaboration with various manufacturers. Through this agreement, it plans to strengthen its role as a business partner for technology startups and expand support centered on industrial sites.
