Speak Selected for Forbes' '2025 AI 50' List

Speak, an AI-based English learning solution, has been selected for the '2025 AI 50' list published by the American business magazine Forbes.

The AI 50 is a list of unlisted companies that contribute to solving practical problems based on artificial intelligence technology, and is announced annually by Forbes in collaboration with Silicon Valley venture capital firms Sequoia Capital and Meritec Capital. This year, a total of 1,860 companies registered as candidates, and the final 50 companies were selected through a comprehensive evaluation of technological prowess, AI utilization, and business viability.

Speak uses AI voice recognition technology to provide a language learning experience centered on the user's speech volume, and its service for learning English and Spanish is used by about 10 million users worldwide. In Korea in particular, users equivalent to about 6% of the total population are using Speak.

In 2024, it attracted approximately KRW 110 billion in Series C investment, and was recognized as a unicorn company with a corporate value of approximately KRW 1.4 trillion. Recently, it has expanded its business area to the B2B market by launching 'Speak for Business', a corporate language learning solution, and providing customized services by industry and job.

“Being included in the Forbes AI 50 list is an important milestone that has internationally recognized our technological prowess and vision,” said Corner Nicolai Zwick, CEO. “We will continue to use AI technology to lower language barriers and help more people communicate confidently.”
