Rainbow Robotics , a robot platform specialist, and Yellowfun Robot, a robot food tech specialist, announced on the 16th that they will participate in the 2025 Daejeon Science Festival, which will be held at the Daejeon Convention Center for five days from the 16th to the 20th.
In line with the theme of this science festival, “Daily Life in Research, Research in Daily Life,” the two companies will exhibit a robot café that can be easily encountered in everyday life, providing festival-goers with a variety of drinks made by robots and giving them the opportunity to experience innovative technologies that have permeated everyday life.
The robot café exhibited this time is equipped with a platform equipped with the collaborative robot RB-N series developed by Rainbow Robotics, and is the world's first robot certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), ensuring hygiene and safety. In addition, the robot arm performs precise tasks repeatedly to maintain consistent beverage quality, and beverages are provided within an average of 50 seconds, allowing customers to enjoy their beverages quickly and easily. Through this, high-quality espresso coffee realized with robot technology is provided.
The robot cafe platform can operate 24 hours a day without restrictions by applying an automated system, and its major advantage is that it can provide stable services anytime and anywhere without the burden of operating personnel. In particular, it has a remote management solution that can monitor the operating status in real time even in an unmanned environment and respond to various situations such as remaining beverage ingredients or payment errors.
An official said, “We believe that participating in the 2025 Daejeon Science Festival is a great opportunity to directly demonstrate how robot technology is being incorporated into our daily lives,” adding, “We will continue to spur technological advancements and service expansion so that anyone can easily experience robot services in various spaces and environments.”
Meanwhile, Yellow Phantom Robot is offering the world's first 111 robot cafe menus and is introducing modular robot cafes in various forms such as standard, regular, compact, outdoor, and customized. Currently, the robot cafe platform is operating in 43 rest areas nationwide, including Yeoju Rest Area, Cheoin Rest Area, and Geumwang Rest Area.
