Nowrobotics, starting with KOSDAQ listing, begins full-scale conquest of global robot market

NowRobotics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter NowRobotics, CEO Jong-Joo Lee), a specialized robotics manufacturing company, held a press conference in Yeouido, Seoul on the 17th and announced its future business strategy following its listing on the KOSDAQ market.

CEO Lee Jong-joo stated, “Now Robotics is the only total solution provider in the industry that can supply both SW for robot systems and control and HW for robot mechanisms through continuous research and development. We are a total robot integrated solution company with a diverse product lineup. With this KOSDAQ listing as a starting point, we will grow into a leading company that encompasses the K-robot market and the global robotics market by expanding our product lineup with higher payloads and implementing high-speed and high-precision motions.”

Founded in 2016, NowRobotics is a rapidly growing company that has established a turnkey supply system based on integrated SW and HW solutions based on its robot automation system construction capabilities and robot development technology, rather than the existing robotics companies that supply robot HW to end users through SI (System Integration) companies.

Nowrobotics, which has a variety of products and the only high-weight payload lineup in Korea, ▲ robot framework and control engine technology are highly scalable real-time operating environment technologies that can be expanded to various robots, ▲ control systems based on servo control have high reliability and excellent repeatability, ▲ unmanned mobile robot driving technology implements high-speed and high-precision robot motion, and ▲ robot operation SW platform provides convenience of robot operation to end users with an intuitive UI.

Through these core technologies, we are expanding our lineup through research and development roadmaps for ▲high-speed collaborative robots ▲medium-to-large multi-joint robots ▲medium-to-large SCARA robots ▲AI-based manufacturing solutions ▲autonomous logistics robots ▲mobile manipulators ▲driving module platforms, and are expanding applications to more diverse industries.

In particular, we are building an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) cooperative system for the development of products with various specifications with leading global companies through the robot manipulator design and development technology that enhances the stability and durability of Nowrobotics' robots and the robot automation system construction and development technology that enables the provision of SW/HW total solutions.

The background to securing such unrivaled technological prowess and continuous research performance is that 32.8% of all employees are research and development personnel, and the R&D investment ratio compared to sales reached 16.7% as of the third quarter of 2023. Meanwhile, NowRobotics is conducting product application development and application technology development of algorithms to actual robots with Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST), an external key research and development cooperation institution.

Nowrobotics' representative products include ▲orthogonal robot NURO series ▲multi-joint robot NURO-X series ▲scara robot NUCA series ▲autonomous logistics robot NUGO series ▲robot system·EOAT, etc.

Nowrobotics will offer a total of 2.5 million shares through this KOSDAQ listing. The target offering price range is 5,900 won to 6,800 won, and it plans to raise up to 17 billion won based on the upper limit. The funds raised will be used for research and development for product advancement, facility funds for expanding production capacity, and marketing and sales for expanding the global market. Based on the confirmed offering price, subscription will be held on the 24th and 25th, and the listing date is scheduled for May 8th. The lead manager is Daishin Securities, and the co-manager is I.M. Securities.

◆ Establishing an ODM cooperation system with global top-tier companies

In the K-robot industry where global demand is increasing recently, NowRobotics is advancing the introduction of robot automation processes by improving its product lineup that can cover small to medium-large sizes, overcoming the limitations of the payload that has been pointed out as a limitation of existing industrial robots. In addition, it has secured the design and manufacturing technology of robot mechanism (HW) that can be designed and controlled based on high payload, as well as the control technology (SW). This proprietary robot design and control technology has been recognized externally, and in 2024, it is exclusively developing industrial robot ODM products for Z Company, a global top-tier company.

Through this, it is expected that the design, manufacturing, and testing of some models of products developed in the first half of 2025 will proceed, and in addition to the delivery of ODM products, it is expected that the purchasing price will be reduced through direct supply of driving parts, and the expansion of global business lines will be possible by utilizing the network of global company Z.

Expansion of mid-to-large industrial robot lineup

Nowrobotics is continuously expanding its new product lineup through continuous research and development to meet the demands of the rapidly growing robot market. Future major tasks include ▲development of a lineup of mid- to large-sized industrial robots ▲commercialization of high-speed precision collaborative robots, and ▲development of autonomous logistics robots and expansion of product lineups, etc., and it plans to focus on business centered on products with market competitiveness. Through this, it is expected to provide customized solutions tailored to the needs of various industries with its own technology-based products, and rapid external growth based on cost competitiveness and high entry barriers is expected.

Securing a lineup of robot total solution products, stable growth expected

The domestic robot market is expected to grow at a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 8.4% for industrial robots, 25.2% for logistics robots, and 49.0% for collaborative robots from 2021 to 2026. However, end users, the final consumers of robots, are having difficulties introducing robots due to ▲difficult operating environment ▲high introduction cost ▲difficult maintenance, etc., which has led to customer customization from suppliers to consumers becoming essential.

Accordingly, Now Robotics is supplying total robot solutions to robot demanders through integrated turnkey supply of SW and HW, rather than through outsourcing to SI (system integration) companies, which is the existing robot supply line. Now Robotics not only provides convenience such as intuitive UI (user interface), diverse product lineup, and easy maintenance, but also enables high-speed and high-precision control required for industrial robots to be implemented with accurate movements even in complex work environments, and is expected to become a leading domestic robotics company with stable sales by supplying products that can meet the needs of end users in the future.

'26 sales forecast of 24.1 billion won, operating profit of 1.3 billion won

Nowrobotics plans to make 2025 the first year of its business by strengthening its product R&D capabilities, expanding its product lineup, and building a network. Through this growth roadmap, it plans to ▲build robot systems and expand references ▲expand facilities for building a production system ▲expand sales bases in each global region ▲expand its product lineup through ODM with a global Z company, and based on this, it plans to achieve sales of KRW 24.1 billion and operating profit of KRW 1.3 billion in 2026 by selling robot automation systems for major customers, selling new products, and generating ODM sales for global companies.
