Eaton to Host 'Data Center Tech Day 2025'

Eaton, a global leader in various intelligent power management solutions, held 'Data Center Tech Day 2025 (Eaton Datacenter Techday)' in Seoul on the 17th. This event was held in collaboration with Hansung Engineering, a long-time Eaton partner with data center technology and expertise, and a number of next-generation data center power infrastructure strategies and new technologies in preparation for the artificial intelligence (AI) era were unveiled.

This event was attended by approximately 200 domestic and international data center infrastructure industry experts, customers, and partners, and Eaton's integrated power solution to respond to the rapidly increasing power demand due to the spread of AI workloads was unveiled to the public for the first time.

At the event that day, Eaton exhibited ▲ the 9395XR AI UPS boasting a capacity of up to 2,500kVA and ultra-high efficiency of up to 97.1% ▲ a modular data center solution (PMDC) based on a skid that allows for rapid installation and expansion ▲ a liquid cooling system using immersion and cold plate methods to solve the high heat generation problem of AI servers ▲ a full-stack power management solution including major power distribution equipment such as high and low voltage distribution panels, busways, and transformers. Eaton especially emphasized its design technology that can stably respond to instantaneous and rapid load changes required by AI servers, and stated that data centers in the AI era “must satisfy both stability and sustainability.”

Along with this, Eaton shared successive cases of winning orders for major hyperscale and colocation data center projects in the domestic market, proving its position in the Korean market. In fact, Eaton’s domestic data center-related business has recorded more than 300% growth in sales over the past three years, and has supplied more than 300 UPSs to major domestic customers to date.

“In the midst of the AI transformation, Eaton is going beyond simple power equipment supply to provide smart and sustainable power solutions across all stages of data center infrastructure from design to construction and operation management,” said Seunghwan Oh, CEO of Eaton Electrical Korea. “We will continue to innovate to satisfy both energy efficiency improvements and ESG responses through strategic collaboration with domestic customers.”

The domestic data center market has been growing explosively in recent years. According to the Korea Data Center Energy Efficiency Association (KDCEA), domestic data center power demand is expected to more than double from approximately 1.08 GW in 2024 to 2.37 GW by 2029. In addition, the demand for power infrastructure is rapidly increasing due to the expansion of regions by global cloud service providers (CSPs), the spread of advanced AI services, and the introduction of eco-friendly facilities to respond to ESG.

In response to this market trend, Eaton is providing a 'One-Stop Power Solution' strategy that integrates the entire power infrastructure, including UPS, distribution panels, transformers, cooling equipment, and monitoring systems, to help customers secure design efficiency, construction speed, operational stability, and sustainability all within a single platform. This strategy, which combines Eaton's global power technology and localized design capabilities, is attracting attention as a standard model for the next-generation AI data center.

Eaton is a global power management solutions company with over 100 years of experience, helping businesses solve their power challenges with products and services for electrical, aerospace, and automotive.
