KL Information & Communications signs partnership with SAS Korea

KL Information & Communication (CEO Choi Jong-yoon) , a provider of public specialized information technology services, announced that it has formed a partnership with SAS (CEO Lee Jung-hyeok of SAS Korea), a global leader in data and AI, and will actively provide data and AI-based solutions to public institutions.

KL Information & Communication, which has secured approximately 10,000 public and educational institutions nationwide as its clients, provides integrated homepage services, IT service outsourcing, open source software technical support services, cloud infrastructure construction and maintenance, etc. Through this partnership with SAS, KL Information & Communication announced that it will expand the supply of data and AI-based technologies by combining its proven construction service capabilities with SAS’s specialized solutions for the public sector.

“As public institutions provide various public services based on massive data and AI technology, the introduction of related technologies to improve service quality and work efficiency is urgently needed,” said KL Information & Communication CEO Choi Jong-yoon. “By providing KL Information & Communication’s professional consulting and implementation services together with SAS’ public solutions, which have already been successfully introduced and utilized in the global market, we will be able to improve the productivity of public institutions and strengthen customer services.”

The two companies plan to focus their sales efforts on fraud prevention solutions that can respond to increasingly intelligent public sector fraudulent payments and receipts, data-based decision intelligence solutions, various analysis tools that can simplify and visualize administrative tasks such as report writing, and AI-based solutions that improve public sector productivity.

In addition, KL Information & Communication plans to jointly promote the cloud infrastructure construction and operation management business for digital transformation, which it has recently been focusing on, by linking it with SAS® Viya®, a cloud-native data and AI platform.
