Dassault Systèmes and Ulsan University SW Centered University Business Group Sign Business Agreement

Dassault Systèmes announced on the 9th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Ulsan University's SW Centered University Business Group for the purpose of fostering software experts and developing the Ulsan region's industries.

This agreement is part of the 'SW-centered University Project' promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, and Dassault Systèmes Korea and Ulsan University plan to strengthen industry-academia cooperation in the future to accelerate the digital transformation of key regional industries such as shipbuilding and marine, automobiles, petrochemicals, and advanced industries, and the training of field-tailored talent.

The two organizations plan to jointly develop and operate a convergence major curriculum based on industrial demand, expand industry-academia projects and practical training centered on practice, and strengthen the link between education and industry through domestic and international professional education courses, internship programs, and technology and information exchange.

Dassault Systèmes Korea plans to support students to acquire skills that can be applied in actual industrial settings through a hands-on training program utilizing its 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Through this, it aims to promote the digital transformation of local industries and contribute to enhancing industrial competitiveness.

Kim Jong-myeon, head of the SW Centered University Business Group at Ulsan University, said, “Based on close connections with Ulsan’s main industries, we will provide practical and field-oriented education so that students can acquire capabilities that meet the demands of the industry,” and “We will also provide various educational opportunities with overseas expansion in mind to enhance global competitiveness.”
