Sejeong Academy and Turning Sign Business Agreement to Create Learning Environment Based on Digital Detox

Sejeong Academy (CEO Jinyoung Lee) announced that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Hustlers Co., Ltd. (CEO Yongwoo Moon, Seonjae Kim) , the operator of the self-directed smartphone usage control solution ‘Turning’, in April to create a learning environment based on digital detox.

Sejeong Academy is a traditional private tutoring academy representing Daechi-dong, operating all subjects for all grades of elementary, middle, and high school, and providing high-quality educational services to students from all over the country, centered around Gangnam, with numerous daily instructors. Through this agreement, Sejeong Academy plans to lead a learning culture suitable for the AI era by creating a 'digital learning environment' where students can proactively manage their digital devices, moving away from the existing simple smartphone collection method.

Meanwhile, Turning, a self-directed smartphone usage control solution from Hustlers, helps students manage their smartphone addiction on their own and increase their concentration in learning. Turning has secured a user base of approximately 150,000 in just one year since its launch, and is garnering attention as a rapidly growing innovative service, including its recent introduction at CES in the U.S. and discussions about global collaboration with Sanrio (owner of the Hello Kitty and Kuromi IPs). It has greatly improved learning efficiency by strengthening the concentration environment of teenagers and test takers through various functions such as 'concentration (passion) mode', 'app usage management', 'time limit setting for each app', 'usage analysis report', and 'sleep time tracking'.

With this MOU, both parties will develop 'Turning' as an edutech-based management solution that can maximize the learning efficiency of Sejeong Academy students and bring about practical study habit improvement effects. In addition, they plan to strengthen mutual cooperation between students, parents, and educational institutions through the development of joint programs and digital wellness education content in the future, and present a new educational paradigm.

In this way, Sejeong Academy and Hustlers Inc. expressed their expectations that through this collaboration, they will be able to combine the strengths of each institution to create an environment where students can learn more independently and effectively, thereby leading to innovation in future education.
