Service robot specialist VD Company announced on the 14th that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with building management specialist Goam for 'establishing a robot-based smart building management environment.'
This signing ceremony was held at the VD Company headquarters in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, and was attended by key officials including representatives from both companies.
Goam is a company that provides comprehensive building management services in various areas such as building maintenance, beautification, security, logistics, IT, and elevator maintenance. Through this agreement, the company has decided to actively introduce service robots such as VD Company’s cleaning robots to management sites. Through this, the two companies plan to establish a smart building management environment and pursue work efficiency and hygiene improvement at the same time.
VD Company will supply its service robot solutions to the building sites managed by Goam, and will provide operational system design, on-site application, and maintenance services. It will also provide robot utilization training and customized consulting for on-site operation personnel.
The products supplied through the agreement are VD Company’s autonomous cleaning robot ‘Cleaver’ and high-end wet floor cleaning equipment ‘Cleaver SH1’. The Cleaver is a model with 4-in-1 functions that can sweep, dry and wet clean, and mop, and is characterized by its ability to respond to various building environments. The Cleaver SH1 is a product suitable for removing stubborn stains from the floors of large buildings with heavy contamination through its strong pressure and suction power.
VD Company CEO Ham Pan-sik said, “This agreement is significant as it goes beyond simple product supply and is a collaborative model to plan smart building management solutions together and apply them on-site.” He added, “We expect that the combination of VD Company’s technological prowess and Goam’s management experience will present a new standard for smart buildings.”
