10 Startups Supported by the Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center Win Gold, Silver, and Bronze at the Edison Awards 2025

The Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center announced on the 14th that eight startups it fostered won two gold awards, two silver awards, and four bronze awards at the 'Edison Awards 2025' held in Fort Myers, Florida, USA. In addition, two of its own graduating companies won gold and silver awards each, bringing the total number of companies receiving main awards to 10.

The Edison Awards are American invention awards that select innovative products and services in each industry based on technology and marketability, and companies with excellent technology from around the world participate. A total of 115 companies received the main award at this year's awards ceremony, and NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang received the Merit Award.

This award is the result of practical preparation and strategy establishment through the global market entry support program of the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, and the winning companies were recognized for their originality and marketability in various fields such as artificial intelligence, eco-friendly energy, and smart manufacturing.

The gold prize went to Metafarmers and Hydrogenbutterfly. Metafarmers presented AI robot-based farming automation technology, while Hydrogenbutterfly demonstrated its technological competitiveness through a mobile clean energy solution utilizing hydrogen fuel cells.

Avis and KL Cube won silver awards for their AI-based pathology diagnosis solution and sign language recognition-based assistive device, respectively. Bronze awards went to Braindeck, Aitech, Siri Energy, and Nation A, who showcased their technological prowess in a variety of fields, including brainwave-based devices, smart sensors, sustainable energy, and industrial AI analysis technology.

As graduate companies, Cellico and SMT won gold and silver awards respectively through their own entries, and achieved the feat of winning the Edison Award for three consecutive years.

An official from the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation said of this award, “It is a recognition of not only our technological prowess but also our actual business performance and growth potential in the global market,” and added, “We will continue to strengthen our support so that promising startups can become competitive in the global market.”
