
Olymplanet, a company specializing in immersive XR (extended reality) technology, announced that it has signed a business agreement with the digital education cooperative Everyone's Coding to activate XR education courses.
This agreement was created to eliminate the digital education gap between regions and promote qualitative growth in software education through an educational program that combines generative artificial intelligence (AI) and XR technology. Launched in 2023, Everyone’s Coding is a digital education specialized cooperative based in Gangneung, Gangwon-do.
Through this agreement, Olymplanet will provide a license for its XR education-specific software, 'XROO Edu', to Everyone's Coding and will also support a separate training program to strengthen the capabilities of instructors in charge of education.
Everyone's Coding will utilize 'X-ru Edu' to fully promote XR education in elementary, middle, and high schools and public institutions in Gangwon-do, and will also work on discovering field cases and verifying educational effectiveness for expansion into the B2G (public sector) education market.
Since launching the beta version of 'Xru' last year, Olymplanet has been expanding the scope of content utilization through cooperation with various educational institutions, and with this agreement, it plans to accelerate the entry of XR-based education solutions into the public market.
Kim Myeong-hyun, head of the XR business division at Olymplaat, said, “XR is an all-in-one XR platform that enables both education and content creation, and has recently continuously proven its potential in the education field.” He added, “With this agreement as an opportunity, we will supply ICT convergence education solutions to public educational institutions across the country, starting with Gangwon-do, and establish ourselves as a representative XR platform in the edutech field.”
Olymplaite focuses on software development and building an education ecosystem to popularize XR content, and aims to provide a new educational experience by creating an environment where anyone can easily utilize immersive content.
