Busan Changgyeong, recruiting startups to participate in 'Startup Open Innovation Challenge 2025'

Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Yongwoo Kim, hereinafter referred to as Busan Creative Economy) announced that it is recruiting startups to participate in the 'Startup Open Innovation Challenge 2025', where it will conduct open innovation with Lotte World, Lotte Construction, Lotte Welfood, and Lotte Department Store until the 23rd.

'Startup Open Innovation Challenge 2025' is Busan Changgyeong's representative program that discovers promising startups with the technology and services needed by large companies, provides opportunities for collaboration and market verification with large companies, and leads to the possibility of future business partnerships. It started in 2020 and is now in its 6th year.

A total of 6 companies will be selected for this 6th round, and we will look for startups with ideas related to the demand areas of each partner company.

The areas of demand are ▲Lotte World (production of ‘brand promotion content’, development of experiential content to increase Lotte World visitors, etc.) ▲Lotte Construction (technology to reduce environmental noise and vibration in apartment complexes, technology to reduce inter-floor noise, other noise and vibration measurement technology, etc.) ▲Lotte Welfood (new confectionery business sensing program, business item derivation, global confectionery and food trend search system, etc.) ▲Lotte Department Store (high-dimensional visitor analysis system using AI, fire prevention and early suppression equipment, etc.) ▲Any startup located nationwide with less than 7 years of operation experience and a service that can be immediately applied for technology, such as freely proposing business collaboration with partners on any topic, can apply.

The selected startups will go through a verification process based on collaboration with the partner company’s field team, and then will be provided with PoC (Proof of Concept) opportunities at the partner company’s online and offline sites. In addition, each company will be provided with up to 10 million won in PoC support funds, as well as the opportunity to stand on the pitching stage and open innovation events for successful investment attraction in the future.

In addition, you will receive intensive benefits through Busan Changgyeong and its partner companies’ infrastructure, such as industry/investment company linkage and mentoring. Startups wishing to participate can apply until the 23rd, and the final selection will be made through document and presentation evaluation.
