Metafarmers won the gold award in the Food & Agricultural Technology category at the '2025 Edison Awards' held in Fort Myers, Florida, USA on the 4th (local time).
The Edison Awards is an international awards ceremony that evaluates technological innovation across industries, and annually selects and awards products and technologies with creativity and practicality. Metafarmers submitted AI-based autonomous agricultural robot technology at this awards ceremony, and was recognized for its technological excellence and usability.
The agricultural robot from Metafarmers, which was submitted as an award-winning work, received attention for its technical characteristics, including its versatility in applying to various crops and work environments, its ability to learn tasks through real-time interaction with users, and its ability to perform skilled tasks in a short period of time. The robot was evaluated to have high field adaptability and expandability, as it is structured so that users demonstrate tasks directly and the robot learns from them.
