Seoul Fintech Lab , a fintech incubation organization run by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, announced that it has selected ‘Higher Diversity,’ a financial data solution company specializing in foreigners, as a new tenant in the first half of 2025. Higher Diversity recently succeeded in attracting Series A investment, proving its technological prowess and growth potential, and this move is expected to be an important milestone in the domestic and international financial technology industry through cooperation with the innovative fintech hub called Seoul Fintech Lab.
HireDiversity is a fintech company that provides data-based financial analysis and credit rating solutions for international students and workers. The company operates HireVisa, a curation platform that solves the identity verification problem of foreigners through exclusive AI-based screening technology and allows them to immediately use various life services such as opening bank accounts and mobile phone service immediately after entering the country.
HierDiversity’s core competitiveness lies in its technology that solves the difficulty of verifying the identity of foreigners. Until a legal ID card recognized by the Korean government is issued, foreigners are restricted from using services necessary for daily life, such as finance and communication. However, HierDiversity has successfully converted the existing offline authentication process to a non-face-to-face process by collecting identity data and cross-verifying it in cooperation with domestic universities and companies before entry.
Based on this technology, HireDiversity provides about 20 essential residence administrative services, such as verification of registration number before issuing alien registration card and temporary departure permit, on a membership basis, and also operates various lifestyle-related services, such as opening foreign-only accounts, opening SIM cards, and mobility support.
In 2024, HireDiversity was selected for the TIPS R&D project, securing a total of 500 million won in research and development funds over three years, and an additional 100 million won in overseas marketing commercialization funds. In particular, in early 2025, it succeeded in attracting 5 billion won in Series A investment, and its technological prowess and business model market potential in the niche market of foreign-focused fintech were recognized. This is expected to be a strong foundation for attracting Series B investment and global expansion in the future.
An official from Seoul Fintech Lab said, “Higher Diversity’s move into Seoul will be an important turning point for the city of Seoul to become a global fintech hub,” and added, “We will continue to provide support so that innovative and effective companies can excel on the global stage.”
