Family-centered workation specialist company Dariemaker and Seoul Youth Center Dongdaemun signed a business agreement (MOU) to provide career exploration and new work experiences to young people and college students.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to jointly operate a training course for the Teaching Workationer, a new job model where young people who want to pursue education as a career travel around the country and develop their childcare and content planning capabilities. The program aims to support practical career education for young people based on a lecture-centered curriculum.
The first training course for 'Teaching Workationers' will begin in May 2025 at the Seoul Youth Center Dongdaemun. This course was planned as part of the center's expert invitation lecture series, 'Tteumhaneundae-ro', and consists of a curriculum that can develop sensory-centered idol care content based on the Waldorf educational philosophy and class planning capabilities utilizing local resources. Theory education and practice are conducted in parallel, and private qualifications are issued to those who complete the course. Excellent graduates will also be given the opportunity to participate in the actual workation program operated by Darie Maker Co., Ltd.
“This agreement will provide an opportunity for young people to explore various possibilities and careers through a new way of working that combines travel and education,” said Kang Ho-san, CEO of Darimaker Co., Ltd.
Seoul Youth Center Dongdaemun Director Oh Chae-un said, “We expect positive synergy through the combination of a regional approach to youth career support and workation expertise,” adding, “We will continue to actively engage in various attempts to expand the possibilities of youth in the future.”
