Studio Meta K, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based content IP production company, announced on the 10th that it has attracted a total of KRW 3 billion in Series A investment from Korea Investment Partners and others. As the digital content market centered around AI technology is rapidly growing, this investment from Korea Investment Partners is expected to serve as an opportunity to further solidify Studio Meta K’s AI technology and creativity.

This investment will be used not only for the development of cutting-edge AI technology, but also for expanding existing content production infrastructure and establishing global marketing strategies. Through this, Studio Meta K plans to expand its business areas beyond just drama production using AI technology to various fields such as advertising, movies, music videos, and virtual humans.

Studio Meta K is a startup that is the first in Korea to combine AI technology and content IP and is currently innovating the existing content production method by utilizing AI technology. Based on generative AI technology, it is introducing AI technology in various fields such as dramas, movies, advertisements, and music videos to maximize production efficiency and creativity. In particular, it is attracting attention by suggesting a new direction for the drama production industry that has been struggling due to increased production costs by providing high quality that is indistinguishable from actual filming. In recognition of its technological prowess, it has been selected for many support projects such as TIPS of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Nvidia's Enup, and is currently conducting various collaborative projects with major domestic broadcasters and companies.

Kim Hee-jin, senior team leader at Korea Investment Partners, said, “Studio Meta K’s AI content production capabilities and virtual human technology will become important driving forces that will lead the future content ecosystem beyond the existing content market,” and added, “This investment will spur innovative content production and entry into the global market.”
