
The Korea Accelerator Association (KAIA) announced that on the 9th, it held the '1st KAIA Local Clubhouse' in collaboration with the Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center at the Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center.
This event aims to strengthen the early investment ecosystem in the Southeast region, discuss policy improvement directions for the early investment ecosystem in the Busan region, and promote networking and cooperation in the local startup ecosystem.
The event began with welcoming remarks by Vice President Myeong Seung-eun of KAIA and CEO Yong-woo Kim of the Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center, followed by a presentation by the Early Investment Accelerator Association on ‘Current Status and Issues of the Accelerator Industry, and the Role of the Association.’ The Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center introduced its organization under the theme of ‘Global Startup Hub Busan,’ and the Busan Technology Startup Investment Center had a separate presentation time to explain its role in regional startup investment.
In the panel talk session, Vice Chairman Myeong Seung-eun of KAIA, Director Yong Jeong of Series Ventures, and CEO Yongwoo Kim of Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center participated as panelists and had an in-depth discussion on ‘Measures to Activate Regional Startup Investment.’
In the private networking session that followed, the participants actively exchanged ideas and various opinions were exchanged on practical cooperation plans within the local startup ecosystem. This local clubhouse event was attended by approximately 30 executives and staff from ▲Venture Square ▲Series Ventures ▲Busan Technology Startup Investment Center and other Southeastern ecosystem-related organizations.
KAIA stated, “We will hold local clubhouses regularly in the future to strengthen solidarity and cooperation with local member companies and promote sustainable growth of the local startup ecosystem.”
