CJ is recruiting for the 3rd CJ Global Ventures (GLO!VentUs, Global+Venture+Us) global open innovation program that seeks out promising startups for the U.S. market and enables global scale-up (business expansion).
In this third program, Alchemist, a global accelerator specializing in B2B startups based in Silicon Valley, USA, will directly conduct incubation programs, etc., and Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (hereinafter, Gyeonggi Changgyeong) will participate as a co-organizer.
CJ will oversee the entire program, from startup discovery to selection and global acceleration, and will review CJ business connections and investments for companies with excellent performance.
Any startup planning to enter the U.S. based on a differentiated business model and technological capabilities can apply to CJ Globalus. In addition, startups invested by CJ Group and Gyeonggi Changgyeong, or companies selected and completed the Oventus program, a CJ startup incubation program, are exempt from the first document screening if they pass only the basic requirements.
This time, CJ Globalus measures the KPI of the capacity building program and mentoring process conducted by Alchemist for the practical global scale-up of promising startups, and if selected as one of the top 3 teams, they will have the opportunity to participate in the SV Immersion Week held in Silicon Valley and meet directly with global partners and investors.
Startups wishing to participate can apply until April 17th on the domestic startup event platform Eventus (2025 CJ GLO!VentUs 3rd Global Open Innovation Program – Eventus), and a total of 8 teams will be selected on May 23rd after document and interview screening. Among these, the top 3 teams will be awarded support funds for participating in the SV Immersion Week.
A CJ official said, “As a result of gaining various insights into discovering excellent companies and supporting global expansion through the global expansion support program, this year we planned to target the United States, which is the region with the highest demand among the regions where startups aspire to expand globally.” He added, “We will continue to work to enable domestic startups to expand their global businesses through meet-ups and PoC connections with global corporations.”
