Underdogs hires Vice President Jeong Je-hyeon from Korea Investment & Securities

Underdogs , an impact-based entrepreneurship education company, announced on the 10th that it has hired Vice President Jeong Je-Hyeon, formerly the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Revue Corporation, to enhance its financial strategy and strengthen its organizational capabilities for global business expansion.

Underdogs is a social enterprise certified by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and operates an education program that fosters action-oriented entrepreneurs. Over the past 10 years, it has supported approximately 20,000 entrepreneurs and 2,600 teams, and has recently expanded its business area beyond entrepreneurship education to become an ESG comprehensive solution company. It is also operating a global program to support youth employment and entrepreneurship and to spread ESG values, focusing on major Asian regions such as Japan and India.

As part of its global expansion strategy, Underdogs is acquiring F-Lab, a hands-on developer training platform for local technical talent, and is also working to create a regional talent ecosystem fit for the AI era.

The newly appointed Vice President Jeong Je-hyeon has worked for about 15 years at the IPO headquarters of Daewoo Securities and Korea Investment & Securities, and has been performing investment and operation work centered on private equity (PE) and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). After joining Revue Corporation in 2022, he successfully led the company to an initial public offering (IPO) in about a year and a half, and contributed to growing operating profit from KRW 4.5 billion in 2022 to KRW 7.5 billion in 2024 through short acquisitions and business portfolio adjustments.

Through this recruitment, Underdogs plans to enhance its management system and begin full-scale preparation for an IPO in the mid- to long-term. Vice President Jeong will be in charge of establishing financial strategies, reorganizing the organization’s operation system, and preparing for listing, and will also play a central role in strengthening ESG business and executing global expansion strategies.
