Spring Onward (CEO Jeong Sae-bom), the operator of the coffee machine rental and coffee bean subscription service 'Wondu Daily', announced that it has achieved a profit for three consecutive years.
Wondu Daily, which started in 2020 with the concept of 'drinking coffee from a famous cafe in the office', has so far surpassed 3,000 cumulative contracts and 14 billion won in cumulative sales. After successfully turning a profit in 2022, the third year since its launch, it has continued to post profits in 2023 and 2024, proving profitability and operational stability that are unusual for a startup.
Sustained growth is the result of evolving into a service that designs “real welfare in everyday life” beyond simple coffee machine rental or coffee bean supply. With the burden of coffee prices increasing these days, demand for office coffee services that provide high-quality coffee at a reasonable price is increasing. Against this backdrop, Wondu Daily has grown by redefining office coffee as a core welfare that determines employee experience, not just a convenience.
We have continued to work closely with partners such as leading domestic roastery brands and coffee machine distributors, and have improved service quality based on mutual growth. Wondu Daily has been pursuing differentiation by curating various coffee beans and designing a coffee culture with field-centered service operations from machine settings to tastings and regular maintenance according to the office environment.
Customers’ responses are also positive. Wondu Daily maintains a high renewal rate of 99%, and a welfare manager at a large company who actually renewed the contract evaluated it as “a service that goes beyond a simple coffee subscription and changes the quality of the work environment.”
In 2024, we will further expand our customer base by expanding our nationwide services, and we will solidify our industry trust by signing contracts with various large corporations and public institutions. In addition, we are expanding our business scope by expanding partnerships such as the Hyundai Maintenance Franchise Association and the launch of ‘Coffee Master’ through collaboration with Hyundai Vendis.
In 2025, Spring Onward plans to improve the data-based subscription system of Wondu Daily and fully introduce its own IoT solution to personalize and improve the efficiency of the coffee experience. The goal is to ‘digitize’ the entire coffee management process, from customized bean suggestions based on machine usage and bean consumption patterns to regular maintenance. In addition, it plans to continuously strengthen ESG practice efforts centered on the refurbishment campaign.
