In particular, as anxiety about electric vehicle fires has continued since last year, the 'Electric Vehicle Fire Spread Delay System' that can relieve this drew the attention of visitors.
The automatic electric vehicle upward direct water spraying device of Yuksong is an automated system that quickly detects the occurrence of an electric vehicle fire with an AI-integrated fire detector and automatically sprays water from eight cooling nozzles underneath the vehicle to prevent large-scale fires and battery thermal runaway. It quickly helps extinguish the fire in six stages: ▲Stage 1: Temperature detection ▲Stage 2: Flame detection ▲Stage 3: Fire notification ▲Stage 4: Primary valve opening ▲Stage 5: Automatic secondary valve opening ▲Stage 6: Spraying eight cooling nozzles within 15 minutes, the golden time for electric vehicle fires.
The system has proven its performance and effectiveness in a demonstration experiment conducted by the National Fire Research Institute, where the fire was extinguished without thermal runaway of the battery pack during the golden time of 10 minutes after the vehicle ignites. Accordingly, Park Se-hoon, CEO of Yuksong, will be giving a session presentation on the topic of “Effectiveness of the lower injection system to prevent electric vehicle fire spread and deriving the golden time for battery fires” at the “Fire Prevention Academic Lecture” as a side event on the 10th.
In addition, the 'electric vehicle fire spread prevention nozzle' of Yuksong is a product that helps extinguish the fire by spraying coolant by rolling it under the vehicle in the event of an electric vehicle fire. The small space automatic fire extinguishing device is a device that automatically extinguishes fires that occur in small electrical facilities such as electrical distribution panels, branch panels, and control panels, and won the Presidential Award at the '2024 New Technology Commercialization Promotion Competition' last year.
