Busan City, Naver Cloud and Lightweight AI to Promote Administrative Innovation

Naver Cloud (CEO Kim Yu-won) announced that Busan Metropolitan City plans to introduce its lightweight AI model, 'Hyperclova X Dash (HCX-DASH)', to develop AI for administrative innovation in the public sector and create successful administrative cases based on AI and data.

Through this contract, Naver Cloud plans to comprehensively support Busan City’s administrative innovation by integrating and linking its vast internal and external administrative data, as well as providing technical support and consulting, as well as the development of AI and data-based solutions and technical collaboration with local companies.

'HCX-DASH' is a lightweight model of Naver's large-scale AI 'Hyperclova X'. It features both a fast response speed and high cost efficiency, and has advantages such as excellent Korean language performance, cost efficiency, and flexibility in model selection. The company added that the lightweight AI model can be easily expanded in stages by creating advanced vertical AI services and personalized customized AI administrative services by policy field.

Busan City plans to introduce generative AI services to internal administrative work this year to increase the productivity of civil servants and establish an administrative system that responds to citizens’ policy demands. In order to increase the effectiveness of AI service utilization, systematic education will also be provided to strengthen civil servants’ AI utilization capabilities.

As part of the business promotion, the two parties signed a business agreement for the ‘implementation of Busan-style intelligent administration’ in the small conference room of Busan City Hall on the 8th. The agreement ceremony was attended by Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon, Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yu-won, and other key officials, and they agreed to work together to create public sector AI administrative innovation that citizens can experience in their daily lives.
