
Jeju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Lee Byeong-seon, hereinafter referred to as Jeju Center) announced that it will recruit 10 companies to participate in the second round of 'Ocean-Value-up with Jeju' from the 4th to 5:00 PM on the 21st, targeting prospective entrepreneurs and companies established within the past 7 years in the marine and fisheries sector.
Jeju Center was previously selected as a local specialized organization for the '2025 Marine and Fisheries Acceleration Program' hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in March, and has been working with Jeju Special Self-Governing Province since last year as the Jeju regional organization for the 'Ocean-Value Up' marine and fisheries acceleration program.
This program was designed to revitalize Jeju's marine and fisheries startup ecosystem and provide comprehensive support for resources necessary for rapid growth, including corporate funding, growth, investment, and expansion.
The target of the recruitment is prospective entrepreneurs interested in the marine and fisheries sector and companies that have been established for less than 7 years. Through this program, Jeju Center operates ▲up to 15 million won in commercialization funding ▲expert mentoring and customized consulting ▲market development and promotion support, etc. In addition, excellent companies are supported with ▲direct investment ▲follow-up investment linkage and global expansion.

Meanwhile, Jeju Center supported 10 companies in the marine and fisheries sector last year. Among them, VPP Lab (CEO Cha Byeong-hak), the operator of the virtual power plant brokerage platform 'flow-V', succeeded in attracting a total of 3.3 billion won in Series A investment, including 300 million won in direct investment from Jeju Center, after being selected for the marine and fisheries accelerating program.
