Mediana-Selvas AI-JLK-Viewno Launches 'Medical AI Strategic Council'

Mediana, Selvas AI, JLK, and Viewno announced on the 8th that they have officially launched the 'Medical AI Strategic Alliance (MASA, hereinafter referred to as MASA),' a strategic consultative body aimed at joint growth of the medical AI industry.

MASA's main goals are ▲development of AI prediction and diagnosis technology using medical data ▲joint technology research ▲establishment of a cooperative system for commercialization. It is expected to play an important role in proactively responding to the rapidly increasing demand for medical AI solutions worldwide and strengthening the global competitiveness of the domestic medical AI industry.

MASA will first begin developing an AI prediction model using biosignal data collected from patient monitoring devices. Through this, it plans to realize preemptive response and prognosis management in the medical field, thereby promoting innovation in medical services.

The four companies that make up MASA each have different specialized technical capabilities. Selvas AI has excellent technical capabilities in AI medical solutions such as HCI (human-computer interaction)-based voice technology and Voice EMR, while Viewno and JLK have accumulated high-level technical capabilities in the fields of image diagnosis and disease prediction AI.

Mediana has a medical device infrastructure that can collect and process bio-signals in real time through patient monitoring devices installed in hospital sites. This plays a key role in MASA’s AI model development and will be utilized in various medical services such as AI-based patient condition prediction, remote treatment, and clinical decision support in the future.

An MASA official said, “This collaboration is not a simple technology alliance, but a strategic attempt to develop the domestic medical AI ecosystem,” adding, “We will do our best to lead the medical AI market by combining the core capabilities of the four companies.”
