Drone AI company Nearslab announced on the 8th that its drone security solution 'KAiDEN' won a silver award in the Autonomous Security Solution category of the 'Autonomous World, Hyperconnectivity' category at the 2025 Edison Awards.
The Edison Awards are a world-renowned innovation award established in 1987 to honor the achievements of inventor Thomas Edison. More than 7,000 products from around the world are submitted each year, and the winners are selected after a screening process that lasts approximately seven months. This year’s awards ceremony was held in Fort Myers, Florida, USA from the 2nd to the 3rd, and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang received the Lifetime Achievement Award, drawing attention.
Kaiden, developed by Near Labs, is a high-speed AI autonomous defense drone that detects, tracks, and neutralizes drones that threaten military and major security facilities in real time, and is positioned as an innovative solution in the drone security field. Kaiden is equipped with a high-speed AI autonomous flight algorithm, so it can predict the target's movement trajectory in real time and perform precise strikes at a speed of 250 km/h. In addition, through swarm flight technology, it can implement tactics in which multiple drones cooperate simultaneously to precisely track the target.
Kaiden can be linked to the launcher system to deploy multiple drones simultaneously, which allows for an efficient defense system. The drone prevents secondary damage from falling debris by setting a collision safety zone in advance, and it is characterized by considering operability and cost efficiency at the same time through a highly productive hardware design that can be mass-produced. Thanks to these strengths, Kaiden is expected to be applicable to various fields beyond the defense industry, such as airports, power plants, and major public institutions.
Choi Jae-hyeok, CEO of Nearslab, said, “In the current situation where drone threats are becoming more serious, establishing a defense system using AI and drones is becoming an essential task,” and “Through this award, Kayden’s technological perfection and integrated operation capabilities have been recognized worldwide, and we will continue to advance our technology in the future to establish a next-generation smart defense system.”
