Korea Investment Accelerator announced on the 8th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Seoul National University’s Startup Support Group to activate the startup ecosystem.
Under this agreement, the two organizations will jointly operate the 'SNU BIG Scale-up' startup acceleration program. The program aims to provide participating startups with the opportunity to experience the Korea Investment Accelerator's practical investment process, as well as close support from dedicated reviewers, actual investment reviews, and direct and indirect investment opportunities.
Companies participating in the program will receive 1:1 close care from dedicated reviewers on the entire process from establishing investment strategies to conducting IR (Investor Relations). In addition, they can gain in-depth insights on attracting investment through private seminars provided by experts from Korea Investment Partners and Korea Investment Securities, affiliates of Korea Investment Holdings.
This program is based on the operating philosophy of ‘Barundonghaeng,’ a representative training program of the Korea Investment Accelerator, and aims to support successful scale-up through customized support tailored to the growth stage of startups.
Since its establishment in 2021, Korea Investment Accelerator has been discovering and fostering innovative companies through the 'Barundonghaeng' program for early-stage startups. This program provides various supports to help startups grow in earnest, such as executing investments of up to 300 million won immediately upon selection, close mentoring by dedicated reviewers, and provision of office space.
Baek Yeo-hyeon, CEO of Korea Investment Accelerator, said, “We hope to discover promising startups by utilizing the rich network of Seoul National University’s Startup Support Group,” and “We will continue to contribute to the continuous activation of the startup ecosystem.”
