Twelve Labs Provides Image Understanding AI Models to AWS Amazon Bedrock

TwelveLabs announced on the 7th that it is providing its multimodal AI models, 'Marengo' and 'Pegasus', to 'Amazon Bedrock', a fully managed service of Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Amazon Bedrock is a fully managed service that gives developers access to high-performance models from leading AI companies through a single API. It offers a curated selection of foundation models from world-class AI companies, including Amazon, Meta, Anthropic, Mistral AI, DeepSeek, and Stability AI.

TwelveLabs’ image understanding model effectively processes massive image data to provide the ability to search, analyze, and generate insights from image content. This model can search and understand various elements such as objects, actions, and background sounds in the image using natural language, maximizing the value of image data that was previously difficult to utilize. Customers can build and scale generative AI applications using TwelveLabs’ image understanding model through Amazon Bedrock, and can perform image search using natural language, classify scenes, summarize content, and extract insights, build sophisticated image understanding capabilities without specialized AI knowledge, consistently scale performance from small image collections to large libraries, and apply enterprise-grade security and governance systems, all while maintaining full control over data, enterprise-grade security, and cost control.

“Video accounts for approximately 80% of the world’s data, but most of it is unsearchable and underutilized,” said Jaesung Lee, CEO of TwelveLabs. “The selection of our model by Amazon Bedrock means that TwelveLabs’ technology has been recognized as world-class.” He added, “Through this collaboration, customers will be able to quickly find and analyze precise moments across their entire content library, including collected videos.”
