T-Money Mobility Signs Business Agreement for Carbon Neutrality Implementation and Electronic Receipt Expansion

T-Money Mobility is introducing electronic receipts to Seoul taxis to respond to the climate crisis and practice carbon neutrality.

T-money Mobility Co., Ltd. (CEO Dong-wook Cho), which is creating a mobility ecosystem for everyone with more convenient transportation and payment, announced on the 7th that it signed a 'Business Agreement for Carbon Neutrality Implementation and Expansion of Electronic Receipts'. Through this agreement, T-money Mobility will participate in reducing greenhouse gases.

This agreement, which took place on the 4th at the Seoul City Hall Seosomun Building, was signed by leading companies in each field that are leading the way in carbon neutrality practices, including the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Internet & Security Agency, as well as ▲T-money Mobility Co., Ltd. (transportation), ▲Korea Seven Co., Ltd. (distribution), and ▲Ediya Co., Ltd. (food and beverage).

Recently, with the announcement of the 2050 Carbon Neutral Vision, interest in carbon neutral activities that can be practiced in daily life is growing as companies and citizens are becoming more interested. Through this agreement, T-money Mobility will inform participating consumers of the effects of carbon reduction created by small practices and simplify the practice method to encourage voluntary participation. It is expected that the 'paperless culture' that can be practiced easily and conveniently in daily life will expand.

T-Money Mobility is participating as a partner in this agreement and plans to expand electronic receipts to taxis nationwide, starting with 50,000 taxis in Seoul by the second half of 2025. Previously, consumers had to go through the hassle of installing an application to receive an electronic receipt, but with this agreement, they can now easily receive an electronic receipt with a smartphone QR code after payment and save it in a KakaoTalk electronic document or Naver app electronic document.

Regarding this, Cho Dong-wook, CEO of T-money Mobility, said, “T-money Mobility was launched on the 1st to create a ‘mobility ecosystem for all,’” and “We will work harder to make T-money Mobility a leader in reducing carbon emissions for the planet through electronic receipts.”
