A total of 38 companies, including 33 tourism startups and 5 tourism star companies, participated and explored business opportunities through various programs such as IR pitching, travel mart, and networking sessions. At IR Demo Day, participating companies presented their business models and received feedback from investors and judges, and at Travel Mart, 1:1 consultations with industry insiders were held.
Chairman Park Sang-yong stated that creative ideas from tourism startups can become a new growth engine for the tourism industry in the Buulkyung region, and that he will continue to support overseas expansion and scale-up centered around the council. He also expressed his hope that this event will advance the local tourism ecosystem and foster startups with global competitiveness.
Busan Tourism Organization officials stated that they will expand practical support for revitalizing the local tourism startup ecosystem through this festival. The organizers plan to continue providing various follow-up support such as ongoing consulting and investment linkage programs even after the event.
This event is expected to serve as a springboard for the growth and global expansion of tourism startups, while also having a positive impact on the innovation and development of the entire Busan-Ulsan tourism industry.
