AGCC announced that it successfully held its first monthly seminar of the 'AGCC LinkX Alliance' at the Gangnam MARU 360 Growth Seminar Room on the 3rd.
LinkX Alliance is a new monthly connect platform launched by AGCC that aims to ‘connect’ Korean and overseas startups, investors, and institutions, and thereby promote ‘expand, exchange, and exploration.’
This seminar focused on UAE market entry strategies and establishment of a corporation within the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC). Around 20 startups and institutional representatives attended through prior registration, showing great interest in entering the Middle East.
Albert Shafiev, head of AGCC Korea's global investment division, presented opportunities for Korean companies to enter the Middle East market and various cases of local advancement with Korean companies to create an atmosphere on the ground.
Salman Amiri from DMCC Ai Centre attended the event online and answered questions from participants, introducing the benefits of establishing a company within DMCC and examples of overseas startups entering the Middle East market.
Junbae Kim, Director of SierraBase (3rd place winner of the 2024 DMCC X AGCC Global Ai Challenge and 2024 CES Innovation Award winner), gave a vivid example of how startups can advance into the UAE and how AGCC’s acceleration and local partner matching program played the most practical and necessary role in the process of advancing into the Middle East.
AGCC CEO Jeon Jeong-hyeon said, “This seminar was a practical event that went beyond simple guidance on establishing a corporation and covered a wide range of topics, including PoC-based market entry, investment attraction linkage, and local business execution strategies.
He emphasized, “Going forward, LinkX Alliance will continue to create a forum for insights and networking necessary for global expansion based on a new topic every month.”
Going forward, AGCC plans to continue to provide localized entry strategies to Korean startups seeking to enter various emerging markets, including the UAE and the GCC, through ▲PoC linkage programs ▲DMCC and government agency collaboration models ▲global exhibitions ▲pitching competition participation support ▲strategic investor matching and acceleration programs.
