Azwemake, which operates the digital platform dedicated to grocery stores, Qmarket, announced on the 4th that it is pursuing the acquisition of 'Shoeket', an advertising and commerce operation support solution for small and medium-sized marts, and has secured exclusive negotiating rights for 60 days.
The target of the acquisition, Shuket, is a company that provides ▲flyer automation ▲price display POP ▲store design ▲mobile ordering platform, etc. in collaboration with approximately 350 grocery stores nationwide.
Azwemake said, “We have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Shuket and are currently completing the final due diligence,” and “the acquisition is expected to be completed by early May.”
This acquisition is an important step toward completing Azwemake's core strategy of a 'mart-centered retail SaaS ecosystem', and it is expected that Shuket's leaflet automation, mart commerce app technology, and advertising design capabilities will create strong synergy with the Qmarket platform in terms of products, services, and customer touchpoints.
“Food mart distribution is an important part of the local economy and is the only market among offline distribution channels that is continuously growing,” said Son Soo-young, CEO of Azwemake. “We will build a digital ecosystem that connects not only operational automation but also commerce, advertising, and data to simultaneously increase the survival and profits of marts.”
