Tree Farm Co., Ltd. (CEO Go Chang-wan), the operator of B2B plant startup 'Plant Hall', signed a business agreement (MOU) with Seodaemun 50 Plus Center (Director Eom Young-soo) operated by Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seong-heon) on the 2nd for 'Training and Employment Linkage of Plant Managers for Middle-aged and Elderly People'. This agreement was made with the purpose of providing practical re-employment opportunities to middle-aged and elderly people who want a new career after retirement, while simultaneously realizing the social value of urban greening and environmental improvement.
Tree Farm Co., Ltd. is currently providing plant management and planter services to over 250 corporate clients nationwide through its B2B plant subscription brand ‘Plant Hall’, and through this agreement, plans to cooperate centered on three axes: providing specialized plant-related lecture programs, issuing private qualifications, and job linkage for the middle-aged and older generation.
According to the agreement, Seodaemun 50 Plus Center will operate a 'plant care training course' for retired middle-aged people aged 50 or older, and trainees who complete the course will be granted a 'plant care private qualification certificate' certified by Tree Farm. Afterwards, those who obtain the qualification will be hired as managers of the plant center and participate in plant care services for actual corporate clients. This is not just a one-time training, but is gaining attention as a sustainable job model that leads to actual income, and in fact, successful job linkage has already been tested after the recruitment briefing.
“This agreement is an important starting point that can provide a meaningful second career to the growing number of retired middle-aged and older people,” said Tripharm CEO Go Chang-wan. “The Plant Hall will continue to be a warm, people-centered business while making urban spaces greener.”
This agreement is gaining attention as a sustainable ESG cooperation model that solves complex social problems such as aging, unemployment, and environmental issues, and is also considering expanding cooperation with 50 Plus Centers in Seoul in the future. It is evaluated as a new example of coexistence created by local communities and companies under the keyword of creating green jobs.
