Freaks Acquires 'Information Security International Standard Certification'

All-in-one contract management solution 'Prix' announced on the 3rd that it has acquired 'ISO 27001 (Information Security Management System)', an international standard for information security.

Freaks is a contract management solution created by a lawyer-turned-entrepreneur, offering a variety of features to efficiently manage the entire contract life cycle. Key features include unlimited electronic signatures, contract schedule management, issuing estimates and invoices, tax invoice management, sales/purchase and receivable management, and dashboards.

Freaks is a B2B (business-to-business) software-as-a-service (SaaS) that is mainly used by companies that sign and manage multiple contracts. Currently, about 90 companies, including large clients such as My Real Trip and Today’s House, are using the service for a fee, and in March of last year, it attracted a pre-series A investment of 2 billion won to accelerate the advancement and expansion of its service.

ISO 27001 is a certification jointly established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and is evaluated as a key indicator for verifying whether a company's information security management system complies with international standards. To obtain this certification, all 114 detailed items in 14 fields, including information security policy, physical security, and technical security, must be passed.

With this ISO 27001 certification, Freaks has been officially recognized as having an information protection system that meets global standards. Based on this, Freaks plans to obtain additional international certifications such as ISO 27701 (Personal Information Protection System), ISO 42001 (Artificial Intelligence Management System), and ISMP.

“We are delighted to have been officially recognized for having a world-class information protection system through ISO 27001 certification,” said Sangwon Kang, CEO of Lattice, the developer of Freaks. “Starting with this certification, we will do our best to build an industry-leading information protection system and create an environment where customers can use our services with confidence.”
