Wilco Corporation Selected for 'Super Gap Startup 1000+' Project

Wilco Corporation , which develops and supplies low-k copper clad laminates (CCL) materials used in next-generation satellite communication and aerospace components, announced on the 2nd that it was selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' 'Super Gap Startup 1000+' project.

This project is led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and managed by the Korea Institute of Startups and Entrepreneurship Development, and the aerospace sector is managed by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI). KARI selected five companies based on aerospace technology that have been in business for less than 10 years, and Wilco Co., Ltd. was ultimately selected as one of them. Accordingly, it will receive various benefits, such as up to 600 million won in business development funding support and global investment attraction over the next three years.

Wilco has succeeded in domestically producing low-k copper-clad laminated substrate materials that had previously been dependent on imports, and is developing and supplying high-performance materials with lower dielectric loss and high heat dissipation characteristics to the market. These are attracting attention as key materials that improve the performance of satellite communications and aerospace components.

Wilco CEO Park Sang-won said, “We are providing copper clad laminates with various specifications and thicknesses required by domestic satellite communication and aerospace parts manufacturing customers at fast and competitive prices through our domestic manufacturing and distribution system,” and “This selection for the ‘Super Gap Startup 1000+’ project will be an important stepping stone for Wilco’s technology to fully enter the market.”
