Chabot Mobility, Industry-Academic Cooperation Project Completed

Mobility concierge platform company Chabot Mobility announced on the 3rd that it has completed an industry-academic cooperation project with the Sungkyunkwan University Business Administration Society (S.ONE) and Hanyang University Business Administration Society (HESA).

This project, the 'Chabot Mobility × S.ONE-HESA Industry-Academic Cooperation Program', was planned as part of ESG activities to provide university students with an opportunity to solve Chabot Mobility's actual business challenges and to foster future talents in the mobility industry. The program ran for approximately three weeks from March 12 to April 2, and students developed a field sense for establishing management strategies through practical problem-solving experiences, while companies had the opportunity to accept the creative ideas of the MZ generation.

A total of three teams participated in the project, and they presented strategic solutions for real-world corporate tasks such as ‘building an automobile finance sales model’ and ‘autocommerce monetization strategy based on the Chabot app.’ During the project, the participating students worked with Chabot Mobility’s staff and performed various tasks such as market analysis, deriving target customer needs, and designing business models. Chabot Mobility provided feedback twice on each team’s draft proposals to enhance the completeness of the project.

At the final presentation on April 2, each team presented the results of the three weeks, and the grand prize, best prize, and excellence prize were selected based on internal evaluation criteria. The grand prize went to Hanyang University’s HESA team, which designed a differentiated new car purchase/finance service through a financial sales model transformation strategy and was recognized for its feasibility and strategic insight.

The grand prize went to S.ONE Team 1 of Sungkyunkwan University. The team presented an auto-commerce monetization strategy through the chatbot app, and was highly praised for emphasizing the direction of platform transformation based on trust in the overall journey from vehicle purchase to payment, insurance, management, and scrapping.

The Excellence Award went to Team S.ONE 2 from Sungkyunkwan University. The team presented a revenue model centered on vehicle management services and auto service memberships, and emphasized market execution capabilities through effective marketing strategies.

Chabot Mobility plans to use some of the excellent suggestions derived from this project as a reference for future new business planning and platform advancement processes. Various strategic approaches are expected to be of real help in strengthening the competitiveness of auto commerce and automobile finance services.

In addition, Chabot Mobility will provide internship opportunities to students who have shown excellent performance. Students selected through evaluation will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in actual business sites, apply theoretical knowledge to practice, and grow into experts in the future mobility industry.

Chabot Mobility Vice President and COO Kang Byung-hee said, “This industry-academia cooperation project was a win-win process in which companies and future talents thought and learned together, and it was a meaningful opportunity to consider a new business model from the perspective of the MZ generation.” He added, “Chabot Mobility will continue to actively contribute to nurturing talent through industry-academia cooperation and building a sustainable mobility ecosystem as part of ESG management.”
