Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Recruiting venture companies to participate in the 'Overseas Excellent Software Developer Recruitment Linkage Project'

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups) announced that it will recruit venture companies to participate in the 'Overseas Excellent Software Developer Recruitment Linkage Project' starting on the 3rd.

The overseas excellent software developer recruitment linkage project was first introduced in 24 years as a program to recruit excellent software developers, including graduates of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), to support small and medium-sized and venture industries that are having difficulties recruiting software experts.

In 2024, 358 domestic venture companies applied, and 41 companies ultimately hired 206 Indian software developers.

The 25-year project will begin in earnest on the 3rd with the recruitment of venture companies to participate in the project, and from May 1st, Indian SW developers will be recruited locally in India, and talent matching will continue until the end of the year.

'Based on 24 years of business operation experience, this year, we are expanding the local desks in India from the existing two (Noida (New Delhi) and Bengaluru) to a total of four (two additional locations in Pune and Hyderabad) to secure diverse job seeker pool channels in India.

Through this, we plan to expand the Indian software talent pool by 100% from 15,000 to 30,000 people and promote the recruitment of quality talent.

On the 22nd, at the Seoul Tips Town S1 (Tips Hall), a business briefing session will be held on the overall recruitment of Indian SW local personnel, including legal issues, employment relationships, and things to consider when recruiting, to help venture companies participating in the business understand the business.

Venture companies wishing to participate in this project can apply on the website of the Venture Business Association , and detailed information about the briefing session will be announced at a later date.

Kim Bong-deok, director of venture policy at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, “We are doing our best to resolve the shortage of SW personnel for SMEs and venture companies by expanding the workforce pool by 100% in 2025, leveraging our 24 years of experience,” and added, “We will continuously upgrade the business by communicating with hiring companies and Indian SW developers participating in the business.”
