The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups) announced that it will be recruiting SMEs to participate in the '25-Year Startup Growth Technology Development Project – First Step R&D' from April 2 to May 7.
The 'Startup Growth Technology Development Project' is a project to promote technological startups and the growth of startups by supporting the technology development (R&D) of startups with growth potential. Startups that have been in business for 7 years or less (10 years or less in the case of new industry startups) and have sales of less than 2 billion won can participate.
This business announcement is recruiting startups to participate in Startup Growth-First Step R&D, and the main contents are as follows.
▲In order to expand the base of technology startups, we have been providing small-scale support of 120 million won per project for one year, but starting this year, in order to strengthen the performance creation of startups, we will expand the support to up to 200 million won per project for up to one year and six months.
Through this, the selected companies are expected to create more visible R&D results, such as increased sales by increasing the possibility of commercializing the results of technology development.
▲As the target of this support is a company carrying out the first R&D of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, we plan to actively utilize the 13 regional organizations of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to strengthen on-site support.
First, we plan to assign 20 points to the 'regional specialization evaluation index' item in the evaluation index to select tasks that fit the characteristics of specialized industries and companies in each region.
In addition, we plan to provide tailored services to companies quickly by holding meetings with companies in each regional office and responding to complaints on site to provide close support.
Park Yong-soon, director of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ Technology Innovation Policy Bureau, said, “This year, we will not spare our continued support through the startup technology development project so that startups can grow to the next level,” and added, “We will continue to support companies in a field-oriented manner, not just through simple R&D support.”
The announcement details can be found on the website of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups or the website of the Integrated Research Support System for Inter-Ministry .
