UDM Tech and SK Chemicals Sign 'JSA Automation System Introduction Agreement'

UDM Tech , an AI-based automation solution specialist, announced on the 2nd that it signed a contract with SK Chemicals to introduce a generative AI-based JSA (Job Safety Analysis) automation system. Through this contract, UDM Tech will apply and build the generative AI-based JSA solution jointly developed by SK Discovery and SK Chemicals to industrial sites. In addition, starting with this construction project, UDM Tech will participate in a project to give priority to applying the JSA solution to manufacturing affiliates within the SK Group in cooperation with SK C&C.

In the future, UDM Tech plans to expand the application of JSA solutions to SK Group's major manufacturing sites in conjunction with SK C&C's digital SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) platform, and broaden the scope of application to various industries such as steel, semiconductors, heavy industry, automobiles, secondary batteries, food, construction, and chemical industries.

JSA is an essential procedure to ensure the safety of workers and prevent accidents in industrial sites, but the existing JSA writing method relies on manual work, so the writing standards are not consistent, and there are limitations in that it takes excessive time and costs. In contrast, UDM Tech's JSA automation system is designed to automatically create JSA optimized for each process and industry group by applying generative AI and machine learning (ML) technology. This improves the accuracy of JSA writing and provides a smart solution that can immediately respond to the work environment that changes in real time.

A UDMTech official emphasized, “If we introduce an AI and ML-based JSA automation system, the writing time will be shortened by more than 50% compared to the existing JSA, and the safety of workers can be effectively protected through real-time analysis.” He added, “We expect this contract to be an important turning point that will allow us to expand our AI-based JSA solution to various industries.”

Wang Jinam, CEO of UDM Tech, said, “This contract will be an innovative turning point in domestic industrial safety management,” and expressed his ambition, saying, “The AI-based JSA solution will also secure competitiveness in the global market.”
