– Advancing AI learning capabilities and fully advancing into the global market based on Google support

Sling Inc. (CEO Kangmin Ahn), which operates the tablet learning app 'Orzo' for middle and high school students and civil servants, announced that it has been selected for the 'Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First (hereinafter referred to as AI First)' program operated by Google.
AI First, now in its second year, is an accelerator program that supports promising companies leading AI technology among domestic startups that have received seed to series A investment from Google. Of the 11 companies selected this time, Sling is the only edutech company.
Sling plans to utilize the AI First Program's ▲AI technology step-by-step dedicated mentoring ▲expert advice by field such as product, business, and leadership ▲Google Cloud Credit, etc. to advance Orzo's AI technology, develop new AI problem-solving functions that will appeal to both domestic and global users, and innovate the learning experience.
Orzo, an essential tablet learning app for test takers, is characterized by providing a digitalized problem-solving learning environment based on Sling's self-developed AI problem recognition engine, as well as real-time customized problem-solving approaches and explanations through the interactive AI tutor, 'Orzo AI Coach'.
Through this, Orzo has now surpassed 800,000 cumulative downloads, and with the start of the new semester this March, following last year, it achieved the top spot in free education apps on the App Store and has maintained the top spot to this day.
Sling CEO Ahn Kang-min said, “We will utilize this AI First Program to further advance Sling’s AI technology and build Orzo that is optimized for user experience,” adding, “In particular, we will focus on the global strategy know-how acquired through Google for Startups to give Sling more momentum for its global expansion, which it is focusing on.”
Meanwhile, Sling has been consistently recognized by Google for its business potential and excellent technological prowess, including being selected for the 6th Google for Startup Cloud Program in 2023 and Google Play's Window Program in 2024, ahead of AI First.
